Simple Golf Tips - Tip Five, Get To Know Your Swing

Golf is all about simple things, that you can change and practice simply. In this series, we look at a number of small things you can do, without cost, to make your golf much better.

Get To Know Your Swing

It’s a common understanding that a golf swing has a number of components.

When you are developing your game, understanding what is working well with your swing, and what needs attention, makes it useful to get to know all the elements of your swing.

First up, you need to understand what the key elements of everybody’s swing are, whether a beginner or a seasoned professional.

Millions of dollars have gone into deciphering the parts of the golf swing that matter, so you can benefits from that research too.

The key components are:-

a) Club alignment
b) Setup of your position and posture
c) The back-swing
d) The backswing
e) The take-away
f) The follow through

Get to know them well and set-by-step recognize when each or any of them are not working well enough. Then, by focusing on each element in turn, you can tweak them to make the difference.

It’s about noticing what’s not working as well as it could, and changing.
